NEWSLETTER #116

HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE WENDEL WERNER NEWSLETTER #116

Hello, everyone.

First of all, let me thank everyone involved with the recording projects I've been part of the last few weeks. This includes Chris and Kelly Ayers and everyone down at Moondollars Cafe for allowing me to play every night for a week. This includes all the great people that came down and performed with me

throughout the week. This includes all the people that came to hear me...some of which came two or three times throughout the week. This also includes the people involved with the jazz trio recording project I'm in the middle of as of this writing.

But...all of those projects involve recordings that will be available later in the year. Let me tell you about the album that is available as of THIS month:

the NEW album by

ALAN ELEAZER AND WENDEL WERNER

"ALL ABOUT LOVE"

The new album will be available on Sunday July 19, 2009 at the concert we are giving at Church Street United Methodist Church in Knoxville, Tn. That is the earliest you can get the new album....unless your city is a stop on the tour we are doing this month. If that is the case, then you'll have the chance to get it first.

Okay, let's get on with the month of July and I'll discuss the details about the tour and the album as we go along:

I'm here on most Thursdays with Jason Thompson, the sax player, and drummer Alonzo Lewis. The gigs are a lot of fun AND they are free. Well...you should probably eat something. There's great food, even if you DON'T like sushi.

THURSDAY JULY 16, 2009
THE SUSHI SPOT

So, let's say that you can't make the performance on the 2nd, we've made it possible for you to come and listen on another night. We'll look forward to it.

FRIDAY JULY 17, 2009
THE COUNTRY CLUB (MORRISTOWN, TN.)
6PM-10PM
What I like about the people at the Country Club in Morristown is that they don't give up. I think the last time I played there may have been in February. Since then, they have tried and tried and tried to find a date for me to come and play that I WASN'T already playing somewhere. It took THIS long. I hope I don't let them down.

SATURDAY JULY 18, 2009
THE OUTDOOR SHOW ( in WARTBURG, TN.)
WENDEL WERNER w/KATY FREE and MELISSA RAINES
sometime around 12 noon
This is the fourth year in a row that the people at WECO radio has had us come out and play the outdoor show. For those that don't know, it's called "THE OUTDOOR SHOW" because there's so much going on that you can't just call it a crafts fair or concert or carnival. It's just the OUTDOOR SHOW!! Come and see us.

SATURDAY JULY 18, 2009
WENDEL WERNER PRESENTS...
featuring Fridge of Penguins, Gabbi Ambrose, and others.
MOONDOLLARS CAFE (in OAK RIDGE, TN.)
7pm-10pm
$5 cover charge
It's been a few months since I was able to bring a number of special guests to Moondollars. As of this writing, I have some people that performed on the "presents" concerts once before: the great duo known as Fridge of Penguins and the VERY gifted Gabbi Ambrose. They will be worth the trip to Oak Ridge, I promise.

SUNDAY JULY 19, 2009
GRAYSTONE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
11AM SERVICE
Interested in visiting the church on a Sunday in which I'll be singing with CHILDREN???? This would be the time to come.

SUNDAY JULY 19, 2009
ALAN ELEAZER AND WENDEL WERNER CONCERT AND RELEASE PARTY
celebrating the release of our new album entitled "All About Love"
CHURCH STREET UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
7PM
If you live in Knoxville and don't plan on following Alan and I like we were the Dead or something, then the first time you will be able to get the new album, "All About Love," will be at this performance. We are very proud to have this new recording out and also THRILLED to be working as a duo again. We'd love to see you at the concert.

THURSDAY JULY 23, 2009
THE SUSHI SPOT
JASON THOMPSON, ALONZO LEWIS, AND WENDEL WERNER
6:30PM-9:30PM
You know, if for some reason you couldn't come on the 2nd and had something else going on on the 16th, then THIS is the date for you.

SATURDAY JULY 25, 2009
WENDEL WERNER, ALAN ELEAZER, AND JEFF KILE
MOONDOLLARS CAFE (in OAK RIDGE, TN.)
7PM-10PM
$5 COVER CHARGE
Most of you know that there is trouble if just TWO of us are on the stage at the same time. So, having all THREE of us at the same time guarantees problems. Jeff says people ought to call the three of us "Nascar" because people watch only to see the crashes. I say we ought to get rid of Jeff.
(the recording of "LIVE AT MOONDOLLARS CAFE")
each performance starts at 7pm.
cover charge varies

SUNDAY JULY 26, 2009
GRAYSTONE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
11AM SERVICE
I won't be singing anything because it's Youth Sunday. That means you'll probably hear people that are BETTER than me.

THURSDAY JULY 30, 2009
THE SUSHI SPOT
JASON THOMPSON, ALONZO LEWIS, AND WENDEL WERNER
6:30PM-9:30PM
This is your last warning...for this month.

Again, thanks so much to everyone involved in making the Moondollars recording sessions. It looks like I will have 7-8 discs of music to sift through in order to put together a live album. I will keep you posted on that recording AND the jazz trio recording. In the meantime, I hope to see you walking around with the new Alan and Wendel album, "All About Love" very soon.

Thanks for your continued interest.

Wendel Werner
