NEWSLETTER #70
by Wendel werner

HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE WENDEL WERNER NEWSLETTER #70 Alright...if everything is working right, this should be the first newsletter that came directly from the new website: wendelwerner.com. It looks like the website is shaping up quite well. There are still some things in the works so please keep checking to see our progress. What kinds of things are coming? When the new cds are released, they'll be the first cds you can purchae from the website. The link will be very easy to follow. As of this fall, you'll be able to purchase copies of my choral arrangements online as well. I'll also have sheet music of compositions from the new cds available online, too. We're planning on adding a gallery so that photos can be downloaded, too. We will also be selling merchandise that says "wendelwerner.com" on it. I'd be VERY interested in legitimate suggestions as to what merchandise you'd want to buy. Please get in touch with me and let me know. Other news: *Terry Schmidt and I are FINALLY going back into the studio starting in early July. We are adamant about getting the new album recorded and finished quickly. We are as anxious to get it done as you are. *Sharon Mosby has been asked to return to the Knoxville Museum of Art for their alive after five concert series. She will be performing on November 25, the Friday of Thanksgiving weekend. Want even bigger news? Not will only she have the usual people behind her like me on piano and Terry Schmidt on saxophone, but my brother, Erik Werner, will be playing bass that evening. *This month starts my tenure at the library downtown, the Lawson-Mcgee Library, every second and third Friday evening. It's a wonderful, intimate setting complete with food and wine. I start at 6pm and play until 8:30pm. Last month, we did it for the very first time. When i came in at 6pm, they were bringing in chairs for the people standing around. I'm told they were expecting about 45 people. They ended up with over 100. You may want to arrive a little early. Okay...the month of July: THE ALAN ELEAZER/WENDEL WERNER TOUR JUNE 25- FLUSHING, MI FIRST

UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 7:30PM JUNE 26- CHICAGO, IL CARY UNTIED MEHTODIST CHURCH 7PM okay, it's not yet July, but it's still important. This year's tour is a little abbreviated. Alan and I will be heading back to a few places that have been very good to us on the past tours. Since we're not yet finished with the new project, we thought we'd wait until next year for a big tour. Still, if you are in the area, we'd love to see you. FRIDAY, JULY 8, 2008 Wendel Werner AT THE LIBRARY 6:00PM-8:30PM here we are, folks. The first official performance of my new regular place to play. I'm really quite excited about this and thrilled that the library wants me. Here's hoping that we have a long life together.

FRIDAY, JULY 15, 2008 Wendel Werner AT THE LIBARY w/special guest LAURA DAVIS 6:00PM-8:30PM this time around i'll have the very-gifted Laura Davis with me of JUST IN TIME fame. We'll be doing some of Laura's favorite jazz tunes in addition to all the usual stuff that I do. Laura is usually too busy to do a lot of performing so you want to make sure you don't miss this. so, in addition to teaching a history of rock and roll class starting July 5th at the University of Tennessee, this is it for the month of July. As usual, thanks for your support. Please continue to check out wendelwerner.com.

Thanks,
Wendel
