             HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE WENDEL WERNER NEWSLETTER #74

                Hmmmm....know what? I think I'm gonna change the title of this month's newsletter...let's try this....

             HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE AUTUMN OF WENDEL!!!!

                THAT'S RIGHT...It's a big time here for the next couple of months...you won't be able to escape me!! First of all....
THE RELEASE PARTY OF THE "LOSS" CD WILL BE ON OCTOBER 21ST AT THE LAWSON-MCGHEE LIBRARY AT 6PM. Finally ...the solo jazz piano recording, "Loss," will be available online through wendelwerner.com.

OCTOBER 21 is also the day that I will have choral arrangements of mine available online as well as jazz charts of all the music on the "Loss" cd. All of this stuff will be available through the wendelwerner.com website.

AND this week, the week of September 26, the TENNESSEE ARTS COMMISSION has named me artist of the week. (which means you should celebrate me all week long!!!)

NOVEMBER will see the release of my new Christmas cd, "Let it snow." I will keep everyone informed of the details when they are available. I will be touring in December to promote the cd. The dates..as it stands right now...are:

12/12--- Atlanta, Georgia
12/13--- Charleston, South Carolina
12/14--- Columbia, South Carolina
12/15--- Louisville, Kentucky
12/16--- Flushing, Michigan

See? THE AUTUMN OF WENDEL!!! (the official colors are black and white...just so you know what to wear!!!)

I'm opening up this concert series in Maine..and the AUTUMN OF WENDEL... with this performance. My understanding is that the piano at this venue is a work of art. So, I'm planning on the venue needing a new one when I'm through.

BEFORE YOU GET ALL EXCITED...YOU CAN'T COME!!! This is a wedding reception, a private party. BUT..people often want to know when I'm performing with other people and who they are. So I thought I'd let you know...but you aren't invited. Sorry.

Now...THIS you can come to. This will be a new venue for us...and a little different because Erik isn't normally with us AND Sharon isn't normally backed by a trio. So, we're expecting some surprises. You may want to be there for that.

Here you go...you can get the cd online starting this..or you can be there in person. You may want to arrive early, though. My understanding is that it will be a little crowded.

One last small piece of information for you to think about...There ARE schedule rehearsals for a trio I used to work with. Names.....Mary Lou O'Hern and Jeff Kile. Yes...I'll keep you informed.
