Hello, everyone.

Let me start off by discussing how stupid I am. Allow me to
explain...

In last month's newsletter, I made this statement:

"The release date I'm shooting for is Wednesday, August 9th. More
details will be in the next newsletter...but for now:
THE NEW WENDEL WERNER RECORDING, "ONE SITTING," WILL BE RELEASED WEDNESDAY,
AUGUST 9, 2007."

SEE??????? I knew better. SO, let's make this official:

THE NEW WENDEL WERNER RECORDING, "ONE SITTING" WILL BE RELEASED ON
WEDNESDAY AUGUST 30, 2007. THE RELEASE PARTY WILL BE AT CHA CHA'S IN HOMBE RG
PLACE STARTING AT 7PM. I'LL BE PLAYING THAT NIGHT FROM 7PM-10PM STRAIGHT.
AND...THAT IS THE DAY OF MY 43RD BIRTHDAY!!!

Now, how are you the kind of person that would blow off my
birthday celebration AND a release party all at the same time?

Looks like it's a busy day. I'll be teaching a class during the
day, but I'll obviously be driving from one side of town to the other later

The wonderful guitarist Harold Nagge asked me to do this duo gig with
him. Not only am I really excited about it, but the people out at Tellico
Village are always very supportive whenever I am out there. SO, this ought
to be a lot of fun.

The people at Farragut Lutheran contacted me with interest in
performing a tune I had written called "Come With Me" for the "Biblical
Waters Suite" album. It seems that someone there was very interested in
singing it AND they've asked me to come out and play it. SO, blow off your
normal church functions and come hear me.

Every year, former Just In Time member and Trinity music director
Sheryl Howard arranges this wonderful musical "camp meeting" at her church.
She always asks me to participate and she always finds some kind way to
feature me during the performance. She has already told me that will be the
case this time...but she won't tell me what she wants me to do. That's not
fair, is it?

WENDEL WERNER CD RELEASE PARTY AND BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
CHA CHA'S in Homberg Place

And here we are...the release of the "One Sitting" cd as well as
a birthday celebration all tied into my weekly Cha Cha's gig. It looks to be
a pretty big night. If you are hoping to have dinner, you may want to call
and make reservations. But please come and get a copy of the new cd...and
bring me a present!!!

During this month, I'll also start teaching three classes at the University
of Tennessee and four classes at Walters State Community College. So, I plan
to be sleeping whenever I can.
Hopefully, I'll see you sometime during this August.
