HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE WENDEL
WERNER NEWSLETTER #87
Well, Happy Holiday Season!!
Of course we are starting with the big news: THE LONG-AWAITED CHRISTMAS
ALBUM, "LET IT SNOW," WILL BE RELEASED THIS COMING FRIDAY DECEMBER 1, 2007 AT
THE ANNUAL WENDEL-DESTROYS-ALL-CHRISTMAS-SONGS CONCERT. 6PM AT THE LAWSON-MCGHEE
LIBRARY IN DOWNTOWN KNOXVILLE, TN. I'll give you more details in the body of the
newsletter. I hope to have all the bugs worked out of the website so that you
can once again order the cds online without having to have any issues. But, I
will have them with me at any performance throughout the holiday season.
I'm not going to waste anymore time, because there is a lot to discuss
this month...so here's December:
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2007
CHA CHA'S
7PM-10PM
This will be the first time anyone starts to hear Christmas music from me.
Brace yourself.
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2007
WENDEL WERNER AND THE WALTERS STATE SHOW CHOIR "SENSATIONS" JOINT CHRISTMAS
CONCERT
MORRISTOWN, TN.
WALTERS STATE AUDITORIUM
7:30PM
$5 (I THINK)
Last year, I did this concert at Walters State and people were still
talking about it nine months later. SO, this year we are incorporating
Sensations, the school's showchoir, as well as some of my private students and
having a big concert/party. I understand that the school is taking reservations.
That must mean they are expecting a lot of people. In case you want more
information, it can be found at
www.ws.edu.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2007
THE ANNUAL WENDEL-DESTROYS-ALL-CHRISTMAS-MUSIC CONCERT
w/special guest LESLIE GRAVES
LAWSON-MCGHEE LIBRAR Y-DOWNTOWN KNOXVILLE
6PM-8:30PM
It seems that if there is one concert or performance that I get asked about
the most throughout the course of the year, it's this one. First of all, you
want to get there early. Second, it's free. Third, I'm thrilled to have my best
friend, Leslie Graves as my special guest AGAIN this year. She went over so well
last year that I asked her to do this year's concerts immediately. We have some
pretty cool things planned. BUT IF YOU ARE EXPECTING TO HEAR CHRISTMAS DONE
TRADITIONALLY, THEN DO NOT COME!!!
Hey, let's not forget that you'll be able to purchase the new Christmas
album, "Let It Snow" for the first time at this performance as well.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2007
WALTERS STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE CHRISTMAS CONCERT
WALTERS STATE AUDITORIUM
7:30PM
This is the traditional concert. The concert choir, the mens ensemble and
the womens ensemble. I'm directing the womens ensemble. I've heard most of the
music. There are some really beautiful pieces being done here. I think it will
be worth your time.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2007
FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH
11AM
It would be funny if I told you that I am preaching on this day, but I think
you would know better. This is the first of two times I'm at Faith Lutheran this
month. Starting in January, we've agreed to me playing there the first Sunday of
every month...in case you want to adjust your calendars.
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2007

WENDEL WERNER BENEFIT CONCERT

&nbs p; I was asked if I'd be interested in coming over to Crossville and
doing a benefit concert for an organization trying to raise some money to send
some kids on a trip. It sounded like fun. I'll do my best to make sure the city
of Crossville never forgets that I brought the Palace Theatre to the ground in
the process. It's a worthy cause. Please come.
