Yes, I know...February's newsletter is a little early, but there is method in
the madness. Some things have been scheduled for the end of January that I
wanted everyone to be aware of. So, I'm not going to waste anytime getting this

FOX DEN COUNTRY CLUB

Speaking of people coming to hear me at Cha Cha's, this is just what the manager
of Fox Den's Country Club did. Before the evening was over, he was asking me for
contact information. Within the next week, we had booked six friday nights
between now and early March. This will be my first evening playing there. If you

Another new place that has started a regular booking. The Pizza Kitchen is an
intimate place in West Knoxville that is also known for having jazz musicians
playing there. They recently got in touch with the great saxophone player Terry
Schmidt, who got in touch with me. This is the first of four gigs booked at the
end of each month. Please come early, get some p izza, and enjoy Terry and me

SEMINAR AND CONCERT AT RANDOLPH-MACON WOMAN'S COLLEGE

The choral director at the college, Dr. Randall Speer, has arranged for me to
come to Virginia to work with a the jazz choir from a local high school as well
as the choir there at the college. Afterwards, I'll give a small concert. If you
live in the area, please stop by. I'd love to meet you.

Again, the weekly performance. They are very kind to me here. That has a lot to
do with the fact that a lot of you come to see me.

That's right...Valentine's Day. You may want to make your reservations early . I
expect the place to be pretty filled up on this day. Plus, it's been of goal of
mine to spend Valentine's Day with you all for sometime.

I've played here several times but it has been a while since I did a concert
here. I'm planning on using the choir from this church in the performance as
well as bringing some special guests. PLUS...I will be trying out some material
from the upcoming new album. It's all free. Please come.

Oh, I had to ask....SHROVE TUESDAY??? Well, it's the Lutheran version of Fat
Tuesday, the day before lent. So there is a big celebration and I'm doing a
performance as the major entertainment of the evening. I guess that's means
anything goes...in a performance of MINE!! I'm not sure you can afford to miss
that.

Years and years ago, I used to work here. Now I'm back to do a concert
and....man, with the things I have planned, this is turning out to be a major
event. I'll tell you this, if all my plans go well, hopefully everyone will be
talking about it for a long time. Don't miss this!!
