NEWSLETTER #94

HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE WENDEL WERNER NEWSLETTER #94

Please allow me to start by saying thanks to all the people that came to hear me during this last tour. This was by far this biggest and longest tour I've ever done. I spoke to several of you during the tour and was quite blown away by your support. To be honest, some of the tour was quite difficult and gave me reason to wonder if touring was a good idea at all. ALL of you thought I was crazy for thinking that way. That helped me to get through it. Thanks.

I have lots of announcements before I get to the July dates. First of all, in my effort to have my recordings more accessible, I'm proud to announce that the new cd, "Spiritual" is now available online on itunes, CD Baby, and Digstation. Please help yourselves to these websites, browse all you want, and hopefully purchase a cd. I'm very excited about this new step in my life.
Speaking of new le vels in my life, I may have mentioned that Randolph College, in Lynchburg, Va; has selected me to be part of their Composer-In-Residence program this coming April...which means they have commissioned a piece from me for their choir. Well, I have just learned that I've been commissioned to write pieces for ALL of the THREE choirs at Delta College in Saginaw, Mi. That's not all!!! There is an organization nearby call the Little Traverse Community Choir and we are close to working out a deal for a commission with them as well. I know that I haven't recently mentioned some of the other arrangements I've agreed to do, so let's get caught up. In addition to the pieces just mentioned:
*I've agreed to write a piece for Webb High School in Knoxville, Tn.
*I've agreed to do some arrangements for Cordova High School in Memphis, Tn.
*I've agreed to do some of the arrangements for the Walters State Community College Pops Concert this coming Spring. *and, as usual, I'll be doing most of the arrangements for this year's season with the UT Singers.
I hope to have all the pieces done by September 1, so I'll be spending a lot time hoping that creative juices are flowing.
I THINK that a huge interview with me with an online magazine is still being posted. If you missed it, here is the link: www.solopianopublications.com
Please check it out.
